Confessions of Wandering Elephants
We've traveled these lands far and wide
We've seen you at your best and at your worst
Loves forsaken, friendships forgotten
Consciences riddled with wrongs done
And souls destroyed by hateful words
We've heard the lies you tell each other
We've seen your fradulent smiles
Your pretending to care for self gain
Your morals torn by compromise
Your actions rationalized to your own demise
We've been made sick by all you do
We've seen that which we hope
We shall never become
A race guided by self-intrest
With love decided by appearance
And friendships used for gain
These are our confessions
Of all we've seen and heard
These are our confessions,
Of all we've thought and felt
These are our confessions,
The confessions of wandering elephants.
